Taylor has done something unprecedented in their line - what was a Limited Edition T5 Electric guitar is now a regular model designed to compare to their 300-400 Series acoustics.  Never before has there been a T5 in a price range under $1500!  They did a few things to help hit the price range - firstly, instead of spruce, koa or maple, it's got a solid Ovangkol Top (which is beautiful!) and a Sapele Mahogany body. This new version also has slotted diamond inlays on the fretboard.  It has no binding and has a matte (not gloss) finish.  The result is beautiful.  Many people who have walked by it have been stopped in their tracks by it's simple elegance.  You'll be knocked out by it's looks and it's tone.  Like the other T5's this beauty has a wealth of natural tones that will serve you well for rock, folk, country, blues, jazz or whatever you want to throw at it.
