Similar in appearance to the adjustable pole-piece PAF-style pickup, this differs in the number of windings and resulting resistance.  Designed to have the same tone as the neck-mounted Johnny Smith pickups, only in a ring mounted format for most styles of guitars (335, 175 etc.), this guitar offers guitarists a new tone.  Smooth, full, fat and clear as a bell, it's a Jazzers dream come true, but still finds favor with rockers and blues-ers.
   Handbuilt in Vermont by Mr. Kent Armstrong himself, this is not one of the Asian built imports that also sport his name - this is the real deal.  Housed in an attractive epoxied black (think ebony) case and offering exposed and adjustable pole-pieces, it looks great and offers you customizations on your tone.
