When we heard that Jeff Tweedy was performing with a Breedlove guitar we were tremendously excited. It's great to see one of rock's most adventurous, talented and still normal frontmen playing with one of the guitar world's most adventurous guitars built by some of the most talented normal folks on the planet. The JTSM is based on the Revival OOO-R Deluxe with some very nice customizations upon which Jeff worked with the Breedlove crew. (Word from Breedlove is that Mr. Tweedy also has a Breedlove FF mandolin and Breedlove Mark 1 Electric).
As longtime fans here at the shop, we've been witness to some incredible shows by Wilco in this fair city (the nationally broadcast show from Slugger Field and also The Palace show with My Morning Jacket -which ended with a two band, full-wigged effort on “Don’t Fear the Reaper” - both come to mind). So we jumped at the chance to have the first, yes FIRST Jeff Tweedy Signature Model available to the public. Don’t hesitate if you’ve got a hankerin’ for this collectible and incredible guitar.
Both Wilco fans and guitar enthusiasts in general should be excited about this guitar: it is built from beautiful solid master-grade Indian Rosewood with a master-grade Red Spruce top in 12-fret OOO body size. Furthermore, it’s got a herringbone rosette and top purfling, an L.R. Baggs M1 pickup, Tweedy designed Honeycomb Inlays in the fingerboard and a Flower and Bees inlay in the headstock. It will be individually signed by Jeff Tweedy and Kim Breedlove. And it will be awesome.
UPDATE: #1 has been sold, but we snagged one more - so call now if you're intersted - they're going quick!!!!
