The Hyalite is one cool octave mandolin.  WE have had a love affair with the oval-hole octave mandos Weber makes since we became a dealer years back.   But this one is really something special.  Being the least expensive arched (all carved) model they make it is both affordable and tonally similar to some of their most expensive creations.  With the solid Mahogany back and sides and the solid Spruce top, this this has got a deep woody tone.  But it still retains a nice brilliance and a powerful percussive cut thanks to the archtop design.    

The adjustable Ebony bridge and ebony fingerboard are both marks of great materials and the hardshell case will astound you.  This thing is awesome for all sorts of applications.  You gotta hear it to believe it.
