What an excellent guitar! Aside from the DFS Bridge upgrade (which we'll explain shortly) this is a Comanche with no upcharge options - designed to be awesome, and relatively inexpensive. The 3-Tone Sunburst and white/black/white pickguard give this progressive guitar a classic, old-school look, but the power, clarity and noiselessness of the Z-coil pickups and the expanded switching of Comanche models creates an instrument with a wide palate of sounds. Amazingly adept at classic rock, blues and twang sounds, it is also a vehicle for convincing jazz tones and anything else you can throw at it.
This particular model features a new custom option on G&L guitars - the Dual Fulcrum Steel Bridge. The DFS Bridge is a $100 retail upgrade and in short, features stainless steel saddles and a 1018 Cold Rolled Steel bridge-block. While still featuring the highly beneficial two-point pivot point for the tremolo, the steel upgrades add a startling amount of sustain and greater harmonic content to individual notes and chords. Other benefits include better intonation and a reduction of string wear.
This guitar includes a deluxe hardshell case and a setup for you by your friends at Steilberg String Instruments.
